No real reason for it. It just happened to be more an image of something simply beautiful, that didn’t box A Mizfitz Production as a particular design business for a particular style, which said more about the ability to design than the content itself.
Who we are is what we do, the level of professionalism and integrity by which we do business.
It’s just a frangipani flower, that’s all.
It also may well be one of the many examples of the greater design of life. And like all great designs,
are seen again…
…and again
…and again.
Have your dreams and REAL-IZE them!
Mizfitz was coined when a certain Theatre Arts teacher yelled across the high school quadrangle “Hurry up Ms Fitz, you’re late!”
Needless to say, it stuck.
It was never a nickname commonly used; only that particular teacher and a few other teacher friends called me that from time to time. It was always intended to be a play upon my name and being a bit of a misfit.
The ‘production’ part of the name is significant in that I have always wanted to follow my designs through from concept to completion.
Throughout university, it was always mucking around in the back of my mind and the constant doubt that it could not possibly be taken seriously as a business name. I had fun with the idea but never followed through with registering the Mizfitz after finishing my degree.
It was the day my darling Nana passed away that I realized that it really did not matter.
I registered the business that day.
Since then, A Mizfitz Production prides its business ethics upon living each day to the fullest, giving it all, service beyond the call and still having a laugh.
However, I never, NEVER take myself seriously.
